San Carlos Front Yard

The old concrete path to the front door in this client's yard was heaving and breaking from the roots of a large ash tree. The clients wanted to maintain their specimen tree while improving access to the house from the driveway and sidewalk.

Old shrubs and grass that had been struggling to survive in the shade of the tree were replaced with lush and colorful plantings that benefit from drip irrigation. The new paving system accommodates the existing ash while creating an elegant entrance to the home.
